New Music Finds for 2007

For the past few months, I have been looking for new music.. Something quite large but tired mp3 collection would benefit from.

In my search I have found a few which for various reasons seem to be touching me..in mostly fun ways.

Feel free not to read anymore and just get a few samples by going here and downloading some samples.. as music speaks much easier than me trying in my humble way to tell you about what you might want listen to.

Pink Martinis
Their music is much like you would expect from a group with that name. Lounge music, seems like redux from the 1940's or a time where Carmen Electra would sing and dance into the wee hours of the evening. Bosa Nova - Samba Classic and well done.
Have a martini and get in the mood, most of all have some fun with it

Sohpie Millman
Jazz Artist of the year , 24 year old female vocalist who can hold her own vs Diane Shure. Samples include "Something in the air between us " and "Make Someone happy"

Amy Winehouse
Much has been said about her. Talent ozzing out ever drug infested beautiful pore. Fun to listen to, original, Sort of a ska mix of nightclub jazz... Check out her song Rehab... its fast becoming a classic.

Flight of the Conchords
For something completly different, is a comedy folk duo. (they hate that description) These two guys from New Zealand now have their own show on HBO by the same name.... and are building a reputation very quickly.
Before they were "massive" they did make a few albums and out of these the shows are basing their epsides. (sort of )
Here a two songs, not shown on their TV show which tell very funny stories. If you like this sort of thing I can highly suggest you start watching the show.

I hope you almost as much fun listening to these as I do.
Listen to one of the Brazilian tunes and think of the new TV show .. you know finish the song shows..
Start to listen to one of these and try to finish the words.. !!
