PodCasting - What a Concept
Podcasting What can I say..Its still early in acceptance by the public. The concept is very simple,
shows or RSS feeds which have mp3 embedded links are updated onto your computer and then automatically syned onto your handheld music player.
The first shows I wanted to have on my handheld was all things considered, and Morning edition from NPR. But it appears that Podcasting either has not caught on yet. or I am just pushing too fast but these shows dont seem to have PodCast Links published yet.
Many of the podcasts out there so far are very unprofessional bedroom hacker style. Not that I mind but I just dont have the time to listen to some guy in his bedroom telling me about his sexual habits, or the latest Trek Wars Theories
Just a thought out of the air.. If its bandwidth issues. that prevents NPR to publish All things considered..Why not use two technologies together.. Podcasting, with the concept of Bittorrent.. Where once you get part of the show downloaded, you also publish it for others to get the show from you.. This way 1000's of uses could be reading and publishing the show, with NPR getting all the credit.. but the bandwidth is shared thoughout the internet.
Ok thats my million dollar idea tonight.
